The City of Mustang will host a public meeting regarding plans for construction of the Southwest Kilpatrick Extension. Representatives from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) will be at the meeting, which will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mustang Town Center, 1201 N. Mustang Road.

“This project will be an extension of the Kilpatrick Turnpike that will connect Southwest Oklahoma City and the metro at-large with the urban core,” said Jack Damrill, OTA Director of Communications and Facilities.

“It will increase access and offer another route to and from Will Rogers World Airport. It will occur between I-40 and State Highway 152/Airport Road.”

Damrill said engineers and planners will be present to give information on the surveys

being conducted in the area and will be available to answer questions and receive input from members of the public on the proposed study area.

“No alignment for the transportation corridor has been determined yet,” Damrill said. “This is the first in a series of public meetings to address concerns and answer questions about the Driving Forward initiative.”
